At DiGidot we love a party, especially when we have the opportunity to be part of it. We were therefore ecstatic when we heard that DiGidot could contribute to one of the biggest dance festivals in the world, Tomorrowland!
Tomorrowland was first organized in 2005 and attracts huge amounts of fans. In 2014, Tomorrowland attracted 360,000 visitors. In 2015, the line-up was even more impressive than the years before with names as DJ’s Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Avicii, Steva Aoki, Martin Garrix, Hardwell and Tiësto.
We are very proud at our contribution to one of the greatest landmarks of Tomorrowland 2015; the Main Stage! This giant podium was 140 meters wide and 42 meters high.
One of the eye-catchers was the huge set of doors that revealed a large LED screen. These doors where equipped with two types of RGB power LEDs, which emitted a huge amount of light. Another unusual item was the illuminating letter M, which stands for ‘the Secret Kingdom of Melodia’, the theme of Tomorrowland 2015. The M is outlined with 80 meters of RGB LED strip. The small pixel pitch of the strip provided the perfect light output and fluid effects. This project is fully driven by our invisible but indispensable DiGidot C4 LED Controller that could handle the large number of channels and universes with ease. The entire LED installation is controlled by just eight DiGidot C4 controllers! Ain’t that amazing?
After Tomorrowland Belgium finished, the complete stage toured through Brazil and the USA.
